Today, August 5th, 2008, is the 46th aniversary of Marilyn Monroe's death. I painted this in her honor.

Up close this subtle painting looks like an oil. I achieved the effect by scrubbling and sanding through many layers of acrylic paint. I had to let go and let the painting lead - thus the title, Out of Nowhere.
